Häagen-Dazs’ New Layered Pints Are a Genius Invention
And between each layer is crispy Belgian chocolate.
If there’s anyone that’s mastered the classic ice cream flavors, it’s Häagen-Dazs. Give us a pint of their rich and creamy vanilla, and we’ll keep eating until our spoon scrapes the bottom. The only thing better than one flavor at a time? Two or three of them stacked into one delicious pint.
Luckily for us, that’s exactly what their new collection offers. Aptly named TRIO, each new pint is filled with two layers of ice cream, with a coating of crispy Belgian chocolate sandwiched between each layer.
The four new flavors include Coffee Vanilla Chocolate (a combination of three of their classic flavors), Salted Caramel Chocolate (salted caramel and velvety chocolate ice creams), Vanilla Blackberry Chocolate (tangy blackberry and rich vanilla ice creams), and Triple Chocolate (layers of white chocolate and milk chocolate ice creams). Not only does the chocolate layer offer a dose of indulgence, it also provides a textural contrast within each bite. The new offerings join a flurry of recent ice cream news, what with Ben & Jerry’s announcements of new flavors and ice cream bars.
Wondering how to get your hands (and spoons) on these, stat? The pints are currently rolling out in freezer aisles nationwide at a suggested retail price of $5.49. They will be widely available by April 2017.
