The Pumpkin Spice Latte Is Officially Back
You can now get a taste of fall at the coffee chain.
It's September—and you know what that means: Pumpkin everything. Today, you can kick off the fall season (though, let's remember it's not quite fall yet) by picking up a Pumpkin Spice Latte at your local Starbucks.
The coffee chain announced the arrival of its seasonal staple, the "PSL," in a press release Tuesday morning. This is the 14th consecutive year the beverage, which is a blend of pumpkin spice sauce with real pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, clove, and nutmeg that's combined with espresso and steamed milk, has been offered. (Since the temperature is still spiking in most of the country, let it be known that you can get the drink over ice or as a frappuccino, too.) Though Real Simple editors found they were able to order the drink off menu last Friday, the official launch is today.
And this year, there's another special treat to look forward to. Starbucks is adding a Teavana Pumpkin Spice Chai Tea Latte drink to its menu. This beverage is made with milk, water, a lightly sweetened chai concentrate, pumpkin spice sauce, and pumpkin spice topping.
