This Healthy Caesar Dressing Doesn’t Require Raw Eggs or Anchovies—and it Makes the Best Dip, Too
This better-for-you salad dressing is free of scary ingredients, but the total winning move is tangy yogurt.
Skip the bottled dressing at the store and opt for this creamy and exquisite one instead. It’s so easy and comes together in less than two minutes. Most Caesar dressings call for egg yolks and anchovies, which becomes a turn off for many making this classic dressing at home, either for dislike of the little fishies packed with flavor or consuming raw eggs. Neither are called for in this smart revision. You won’t even have to worry about the oil emulsifying with all the other dressing ingredients. All you need is a bowl and a whisk (even a spoon will do!).

Of course, we couldn’t skip the Parmesan cheese, but we did bring in good-for-your-gut yogurt, plus Dijon mustard, garlic, and lemon. The yogurt makes it creamy and rich, without the indulgence factor of oil. Shopping for yogurt with a label that states “contains live and active cultures” is the way to go to make sure you’re getting probiotics, the healthy bacteria that keeps your gut healthy. This dressing even packs in some protein!
Of course, it dresses a Caesar salad beautifully, but we discovered it just so happens to make a mind-blowing dip, too. It clings to crisp vegetables like magic, and it’s creaminess and savory bite will have you putting this out for chips, too.
