  1. Place chopped chocolate in the top of a double boiler or a heatproof bowl set over (not in) a saucepan of simmering water; cook, stirring occasionally, until melted, 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Place chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl; microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted.
