- 1 pound trimmed asparagus
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 peeled and thinly sliced garlic cloves
- salt, to taste
- red pepper flakes, to taste
- Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the asparagus and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until just tender. Drain.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic until softened but not browned. Add the asparagus and sprinkle with salt and red pepper flakes. Sauté 2 to 3 minutes.
