Turmeric adds bright orange color to the butter-toasted sesame and mustard seeds, resulting in a vibrant sauce that’s perfect for fish, grilled meats, or even roasted vegetables. Note that this recipe should be served right away, as it doesn’t reheat well.

How to Make It

Step 1

Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium-low. Add seeds, salt, and turmeric; cook, stirring constantly, until seeds are toasted and foam subsides, 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer to a bowl; add lemon juice. Serve immediately.
