I wanted to love this recipe, my friend raved about it. But, the texture was just wrong. There is far too much rising agent used. If you use self rising flour there is no need to add baking powder and soda, let alone the high quantities called for here. The result is a graining texture.
I was very skeptical about these biscuits but first time out and my family loved them! Crispy on outside, light and fluffy on inside. Best biscuit ever.
These are the best biscuits that I've had to date. They are soft and yummy. One more reason to love Jojo.
