Great and simple recipe. I added lemon zest to the panko crumbs and squeezed lemon over the top which gave it the little zip it needed.
For the panko breadcrumbs, is it plain panko breadcrumbs or seasoned panko breadcrumbs?
This was really good and easy. You can mix the shrimp and next 3 ingredients together and keep in the fridge. (I brought it to room temp before baking.) Mix the butter, panko and parsley in a small baggie and keep also in fridge. For step 3, you're ready to go.
I made this as a company dish and everyone liked it. The only cosmetic problem is that the butter-bread crumb mixture tends to clump on top of the shrimp, but taste is fine. If you don't want to buy a bunch of parsley you won't use, I found a concentrated parsley paste in the gourmet produce section of my grocery store. The brand is Garden Gourmet and it works well. Also keeps in the refrigerator a long time.
These are SOO tasty and quick to make.
Really good, but definitely much better when you add a wedge of lemon juice...!!! When serving, garnish with a wedge of lemon. It will add color and brightness to the palate. Bon apetite!
Really delicious and so few ingredients, my favourite kind of recipe! Tossed the cooked shrimp and buttery bread crumbs with some cooked pasta and a handful of extra chopped parsley for a tasty dinner.
Agreed, but I loved it!!!
My family loves this recipe. I don't add as much salt as called for because I use salted butter.
i made this last night. served it over white rice. this recipe is so super simple. i love it. my turned out just a bit salty for my taste, but that could be because i used salted butter. i think you could get away with less butter than it calls for.
If you don't mind the alcohol, plain cocktail dry sherry is a cheap substitute and lasts forever once opened.
My husband has been traveling a lot lately, and I fixed this for his first night home last night because he'd had steak and chicken while on the road. This was great. I always follow a new recipe exactly (did use half butter and half olive oil for health reasons) the first time I cook it, then I tweak it after that. This one won't need any tweaking. Served with It will be a regular on my menu planning! Served with chef Martine Venegas' sauteed mushrooms and my tweaked version of the South Beach Diet oriental slaw.
Cooking time depends on the size of the the shrimp. Check often, & stir often. Enjoy.
Chicken broth is usually a safe and adequate substitution for white wine.
I'd like to know what to use instead of white wine also! Any suggestions?
What can I use in place of the white wine?
