Very simple and I took the suggestion of a poster and tried other cookies. I think I may add some different flavors to the filling...orange, raspberry, strawberry maybe.
Ganache is what you make when you melt the chips into the cream
I think Giant (PA) also had them in the general cookie aisle, too!
it is hard to find those cookies and most people at the grocery store don't know where they are. they are hidden in the ice cream topping section. so next to the caramel and chocolate sauces. took me a while to discover them there but that's where they tend to be. these are awesome cookies and i've made them for years since i discovered them in my real simple mag. a standard at every party.
I used chocolate graham crackers instead. They're just as good and cheaper! :) I LOVE these cookies!
I went to 3 local grocery stores and "Nabisco's Famous Chocolate Wafers" were nowhere to be found . . . even according to the managers. I looked online and you can get a case of 12 at Amazon! Where else? I don't know.
Not all stores carry Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers. Be sure to ask your store managers to stock them if they don't!
Ganache is what you are making when you combine the chocolate and cream. Chocolate wafers are on the cookie aisle at the grocery store. While chocoloate wafers are probably the perfect cookie, I can see MANY cookie possibilities!
What is Ganache and where can you get Chocolate Wafers?
how are we suppose to know how many cookies are in the servings? All of the cookies don't the serving size.
