Just made these cookies and they are AMAZING!!! I followed the recipe exactly and baked them for the minimum amount of time and the are crispy and chewy...lovely!!
I made this recipe a couple of weeks ago. I was out of baking soda and so used a full teaspoon of baking powder; the cookies were fluffy and gorgeous! I made half of them as regular chocolate chip cookies and the other half of the dough I mixed in white chocolate, sunflower seeds, and dried cranberries; they were a HUGE hit! excellent recipe for a base to mix other ingredients into.
Since reading the comment,I thought I would tweak this recipe since I have trouble finding a really good choc. chip cookie recipe. Instead of 3 sticks of butter, I used two sticks of butter and one stick of margarine. I only left them in the oven for 10 minutes. Also, I have silicone cookie boards that I use to bake my cookies. They turned out to be the best c.c. cookies ever. I hope this helped.
This is a horrible cookie recipe and a big waste of ingrediants. I would recommend choosing a chocolate chip cookie recipe with less butter. No matter how we cooked them the edges burned before the center of the cookies. We used three different pans (thin to thick) with non stick spray and without spray with parchment paper. Burned edges every time!
