Chocolate Bread Pudding

Made this and served it with coconut milk vanilla ice cream for Thanksgiving dessert and we really loved it! This was actually our first time trying bread pudding! I'm not sure why the prior users ended up with soup...I followed the recipe exactly and it wasn't soupy. Anyhow...I would make this again, however, I think it might be nice to cut the bread up into cubes instead of just layering slices of bread.

Used 1/3 less bread (2 layers) and 1/4 less everything else. My 5-yr-old said: "Mommy this is the best in the whole wide world ever." Absolutely delicious!

Horrible. I made the night before and followed the recipe exactly. After 40 minutes of baking the top was done, but the inside was soupy and completely undercooked. I couldn't serve it at all, and had to improvise a dessert for Christmas dinner. I guess that's what I get for attempting an untested recipe for a holiday dinner. I agree with the poster below--very disappointing!

This was one of those RS recipes that I did not like. The resulting product looked nothing like the picture. It came out soupy and unappetizing. I was thoroughly disappointed especially since I'm not a big fan of bread puddings, but saw that this was a chocolate based bread pudding and thought I'd give it a try. Very disappointing...

This was fabulous!!! Everyone that tried it loved it!!!
