How to Make It
Bring cherries, sugar, water, and salt to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high. Cook, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened, 6 to 8 minutes. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Pour mixture through a fine wire-mesh strainer into a bowl; discard solids.
Stir together cherry syrup, lime juice, soft drink, and gin in a small pitcher. Pour evenly into 4 rocks glasses filled with crushed ice. Garnish with lime slices.
