The richness of mozzarella paired with juicy ripe tomatoes and fresh basil is perhaps the best combination of flavors ever. These personalized Caprese skewers take just minutes to make and taste amazing with a drizzle of balsamic, pesto, or even just high-quality olive oil. Don't forget a sprinkle of sea salt and black pepper, too. Ingredients Appetizer toothpicks or small skewers 7 ounces Bocconcini (bite-size mozzarella balls) 10 ounces Cherry tomatoes Fresh basil Store-bought balsamic glaze, for drizzling (optional) Directions On each toothpick, include a piece of mozzarella, a basil leaf, and a cherry tomato. Repeat to complete the length of your skewer. Once you've plated all of the skewers, drizzle a little bit of balsamic glaze over them (or swap in pesto, olive oil, or use all of the above).
