Dole Whip's creamy consistency and tropical pineapple-coconut tang has amassed a cult-following among Disney World visitors worldwide. What's not to love? Made from just three ingredients—frozen pineapple, frozen banana, and coconut milk—it has the rich texture of soft-serve ice cream without dairy or added sugar. If visiting Disney is not in your plans any time soon (or even if it is), you can enjoy our boozy rendition of their popular smoothie at home. Eat it with a spoon, slurp it through a straw, or scoop your "cocktail" into an ice cream cone, and then garnish with extra pineapple and coconut flakes. Magic.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen pineapple

  • 1 frozen banana, halved

  • ½ cup coconut milk, chilled

  • ½ cup coconut rum, chilled

  • Fresh pineapple wedges, for garnish

  • Coconut flakes, for garnish

Directions

  1. Combine pineapple, banana, coconut milk, and coconut rum in a food processor or blender.

  2. Pulse a few seconds at a time, scraping down sides with a rubber spatula, until smooth but not liquefied.

  3. Scoop into cups, glasses, or cones and then garnish with a pineapple wedge, coconut flakes, and (just for fun) a mini umbrella.

Chef's Notes

To emulate the swirled consistency of soft-serve, you can scoop the whip into a piping bag or Ziploc, cut the corner off, and pipe into glasses before finishing with the garnish.
