I subsituted the salad dressing mix with fresh minced garlic and ginger, and sprinkled finely chopped green onion at the end. Served them on a fresh arugula salad with a drizzle of grape seed oil and coarse salt + pepper. The peanut sauce acted as a warm salad dressing. It was delicious xo
Sodium over 5800 mg per serving - that is more than *2 days* worth of sodium. Perhaps the recipe can be made without the salad dressing mix? Or with reduced-sodium soy sauce? As it stands, it is a crime against health to eat it.
Over 2 teaspoons of salt per serving! Why would you publish such a recipe?
I made this recipe last night only I substituted the beef and made chicken satay instead. Let me start by saying I use Real Simple recipes religously and love them. However, this recipe dissapointed. The peanut sauce was not at all what I expected, not sweet like it usually is. Too many competing flavors, not enough peanutness.
