Keeping an easy homemade vinaigrette recipe in your back pocket is a must for fresh, simple weeknight salads, but you can also drizzle this delicious dressing on paninis, roasted salmon, or grilled vegetables. Don't be tempted by bottled balsamic vinaigrettes—homemade dressing is far more flavorful, and doesn't contain the chemical thickeners and stabilizers that many processed versions do. Not to mention that this recipe has just six ingredients and it takes five minutes flat. What could be better?
¼ cup fresh lemon juice (from 1 to 2 lemons)
1 teaspoon honey
1 small shallot, minced
½ cup extra-virgin olive oil
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
