Glossier

Glossier is known for their cute, millennial pink packaging and fun branding, but they've taken a more serious turn with their latest skincare launch. Aptly named Solution ($24; glossier.com), it's a liquid, chemical exfoliator (as opposed to physical exfoliators like scrubs) that is applied via cotton pad—Glossier branded ($4 for 60; glossier.com) optional—and sweeps across skin to remove dead skin cells among other things.

The formula is a triple threat to acne thanks to its blend of Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA, exfoliates skin's surface), Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA, deep penetration to unclog pores), and Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA, increases potency while keeping the formula gentle). You've likely seen or heard of lactic acid, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid in your acne products before, but this combines all three together, along with aloe, glycerin, and niacinamide so that it's potent but still hydrating and soothing, and  won't further irritate your sensitive, acne-prone skin. Think of it as a grown-up, more sophisticated version of the Stridex pads you used in middle school.

Simply use it once a day (morning or night) after cleansing, under your moisturizer. Not only do the acids help clear out pores and bacteria to prevent acne, it will also give your skin a glow. Dead skin is usually the culprit of dull, blah skin so sweeping it away lets the glow-y layer underneath shine. As a germophobe,  I personally appreciated the pump applicator to prevent contamination and prevent me from spills.
