They’re a cross between a sandal and a slipper—what could be better?
Over the years, UGG boots have been the butt of many a fashion joke, but when it comes to comfort, we have to admit that they are unparalleled. And they're also a brand that isn't afraid to experiment with fresh designs. When UGG collaborated with the Belgian designer Y/Project on an over-the-top, thigh-high version of their iconic boots, we were entranced. And now that the brand has launched a new pair of ultra-cozy slide sandals, our attention is once again on the comfy footwear brand.
Debuting today, the brand-new Fluff Yeah Slides ($100, ugg.com) are here to make a big fashion statement this summer. According to the description on the UGG website, the slide is a cross between a slipper and a sandal, meaning they are the coziest summer shoes you've ever seen. A lightweight platform elevates the sandal and keeps them easy to walk in, while soft sheepskin-wrapped bands make these slides just as cozy as your favorite shearling-lined winter boots. Plus, a wide elastic strap around the back of the heel guarantees you'll never have to worry about these sandals slipping off.
Choose from pastel Seashell Pink, Black, Charcoal, or Lantana (pictured) color options. No matter which hue you choose, these sandals are sure to turn heads—and raise a few questions. We can't help but wonder: How well does sheep fur stand up to poolside splashing?
If you're determined to make this summer the coziest one yet (and your feet tend to run cold even in 80-degree heat), these sheepskin sandals were made for you. The only question left is, what to wear with them? UGG's style recommendation: Pair them with midi dresses or your favorite jeans. You really can't go wrong.
