If you caught the Oscars last night, then you probably spent at least five minutes cry-laughing as Tiffany Haddish and Maya Rudolph took the stage. After walking the red carpet and making it through numerous interviews, the hilarious duo decided to ditch their heels as they presented the award for Best Animated/Live Action Short.

With their heels in hand, the comedic pair strolled up to the mic. The slit in Haddish's long white Alexander McQueen gown was perfectly placed to show off her surprising alternative to uncomfortable heels: a pair of shearling-lined Ugg slippers. The choice was head-turning to say the least, but the star pulled it off, and honestly, may just tempt you to invest in a pair of the ultra-cozy slippers yourself ($120; If they’re good enough for Tiffany Haddish to rock on-stage at the Oscars, they’re certainly good enough to wear during your next Trader Joe’s run, right?

This cozy footwear wasn’t the star’s only surprising (but totally relatable) sartorial choice last night. After wearing a stunning Eritrean dress down the red carpet as a tribute to her late father, Haddish changed into the sleek Alexander McQueen gown for her on-stage appearance. And if it looks familiar to you, it may be because she also wore the gown on Saturday Night Live, as well as to the premiere of Girls Trip. That’s right, she boldly sported a triple-repeat gown to the biggest Hollywood event of the year—and the move feels so down-to-earth. In fact, it may be all the inspiration you need to re-wear the same dress during the upcoming busy wedding season. And if you’re still not set on footwear for your event-packed season ahead, may we recommend a pair of these comfortable, celebrity-approved slippers.
