Meghan Markle wore Princess Diana's butterfly earrings while on official tour with Prince Harry in Australia–here's how you can get the look.
Just one day after Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex announced she's pregnant, she paid homage to another important mother in her world: Princess Diana.
While making her first outing during their Commonwealth tour alongside her husband, Prince Harry, Meghan showed off a teeny, tiny display of affection for Diana by wearing one of the Princess of Wales' bracelets and a pair of butterfly earrings.
The earrings, which are gold and diamond butterflies, were first worn by Diana during a visit to Canada in 1986, Business Insider reported. Markle also wore what appears to be the late Princess of Wales' gold bracelet, which includes two blue stones on either end, during a meet-and-greet with local Australians.
It’s fitting Meghan would choose to wear something of Diana’s during her first royal tour. After all, Diana and Prince Charles took their first royal tour to Australia and New Zealand as well.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Meghan has paid homage to Prince Harry's mom with her jewelry choices. As Harper’s Bazaar notes, Meghan wore an aquamarine cocktail ring that previously belonged to Diana during her wedding reception at the Frogmore House in May.
Meghan’s engagement ring also famously came with two small side diamonds, which were pulled from Princess Diana’s personal collection. "It's so important to me to know that she's a part of this with us," Meghan said during her first joint interview with Harry after announcing their engagement.
Though Diana’s butterfly earrings are priceless thanks to the memories they hold, you can get a pretty close duplicate of the pair for yourself. Here are four options to get the delicate (and royal) look.
