Sometimes the makeup on the red carpet can seem unattainable or too much for an everyday look or even a night out, which is why we were so excited to see Reese Witherspoon's paired down take that is very much the opposite. While it paired perfectly with her smooth locks and chic, form-fitting gown, it also could just as easily go with your office look or weekend date night. We got the scoop from her makeup artist, Molly R. Stern, who revealed the exact Elizabeth Arden products she used so you can try out the look on yourself.

"In honor of tonight's historic awards ceremony, I wanted Reese's look to have a feminine quality," Stern said. "I wanted to celebrate the fact that now is the time for women to embrace their power and what better muse than Reese Witherspoon. Wearing a custom Zac Posen gown, she looked strong and soft. Exactly what women are."

Eyes:

"For her eyes I based the lid with the matte pink eyeshadow from the Elizabeth Arden You Had Me At Merlot Eye Shadow Trio ($22; elizabetharden.com)."
