The Most Flattering Blush Ever Created

Nars Blush in Orgasm—available in powder and stick form—is one of those cult favorite beauty products that you hear about over and over again because, well, it’s just that good. Celebrities wear it, makeup artists love it, and—the best part—it looks amazing on just about everyone, light and dark skin tones alike. And now Nars is launching a new version of the beloved shade, a liquid blush that just might be the best iteration yet.

Like mascara, blush is one of those transformative beauty products that can quickly elevate your entire look. Worn correctly, the right blush can warm up your complexion, make you look more awake, happier, and even younger. Arguably the most famous blush shade to date, Nars Orgasm, appeared on makeup counters back in 1999, but still remains in high demand thanks to its super flattering peachy-pink hue that straddles a blush and a highlighter with its shimmery finish.

That single hue quickly became a fan favorite, and the company added other Orgasm products to its line—lip gloss, nail polish, and a multiple stick to name a few. The latest addition, though, is a showstopping liquid blush ($30) available on May 12th at narscosmetics.com and at Sephora on June 1st. The formula is housed in a frosted bottle that resembles more of a nail polish than a blush.

Makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes (@katiejanehughes) got her hands on the sure-to-sellout bottle a few weeks ago. “A tiny bit goes a very long way,” she stresses. “So squirt a teeny-tiny dab on the back of your hand then work from there, using your fingers to dab the color onto the apples of your cheeks for a natural flush or buffing it on with a brush for a more sculpted look—either way it blends nicely into the skin.” Also good to know: Because you only need the smallest dot, the bottle will last for months. It looks good on eyes and lips, too. And though Orgasm is the hero of the new line, the liquid blush is also available in three other hues: Torrid, Luster, and Dolce Vita.
