Maybelline

If your current makeup process involves mixing together two or three bottled concealers to achieve the right shade for your skin tone, Maybelline is on a mission to simplify your get-ready routine. The brand recently announced that it will be doubling (that’s right, doubling!) the range of shades it offers in the Instant Age Rewind and Fit Me! concealer lines.

Before the big announcement, both lines of concealer carried just six shades, meaning that only a few lucky customers could find a straight-from-the-bottle match. But with the new options added, each line offers an impressive twelves shades to choose from. While the original lines focused more on light and medium skin tones, the shade extension offers both lighter and darker shades, making the options more inclusive than ever.

If you’re having trouble finding a shade pale enough to match your sun-starved winter skin tone, try the new “ivory” option that has been added to both the Age Rewind and the Fit Me! lines. And if you’re tired of makeup brands that simply don’t offer dark enough concealer options, test out “hazelnut” in the Age Rewind line and both “hazelnut” and “cocoa” in the Fit Me! range.

Maybelline’s shade extension follows the launch of Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line this fall, which was applauded for offering a remarkable 40 different foundation shades. As beauty brands respond to the demand for more inclusive shade ranges, it’s exciting to see a drugstore brand offer more options (and at an affordable price!). Both the Age Rewind concealer ($8) and the Fit Me! concealer ($6) are now available on target.com and in Target stores, so you can finally stop mixing up a custom concealer. Just think of all the time you’ll save.
