Whether you over-plucked your eyebrows as a teen or have simply lost your fullness over time, get your arches back to being golden in a few simple steps. Not only do full brows add a youthful pick-me-up, but they can also dramatically shape your face. Not to mention how they can highlight and open up your eyes. Needless to say, they're pretty important. Here's how to pump up the volume.

What You Need

  • spoolie
  • eyebrow pencil
  • clear eyebrow gel

Follow These Steps

  1. Brush
Get a spoolie—a brush that looks like a mascara wand without the mascara. A good cheapie: e.l.f. Eyelash and Brow Wand ($1; Brush hairs up then comb them the opposite direction. This will add texture plus expose any spots that need to be filled.
  2. Fill
Grab a pencil like Benefit Cosmetics Precisely, My Brow Pencil ($24; in a shade that matches your brow hair. Starting at the tail, fill in any gaps with short, dash-like strokes in the direction of your growth, working your way to the front. Blend with the spoolie.
  3. Set
Add a healthy sheen and a light hold (to prevent wonky hairs from drooping during the day) with a gel like Essence Lash and Brow Gel Mascara ($3; Gently swipe it from root to tip in an upward motion. Styling brows upward opens your eyes.
