210,000 People Are Psyched for Huda Beauty’s New Eyeshadow Palette
Are your lids ready for Huda Beauty's Rose Gold ReMastered Palette?
Back in 2016, makeup lovers were slapped with a harsh reality: Makeup artist and founder of Huda Beauty, Huda Kattan, was discontinuing her lionized Rose Gold Palette. Soon, many makeup lovers' favorite eyeshadow palette faded to a faint memory... until yesterday when Huda Beauty announced the rose gold palette's long-awaited return.
As Kattan explained in her first in a string of Instagram and Twitter posts about the new Rose Gold ReMastered Palette, "Everyone who knows me, knows how important our original Rose Gold Palette was to us, but when we launched it, we really had to invest everything into the Palette and couldn’t invest in things like packaging & innovation! That year 2016, I actually couldn’t afford to pay myself salary, because this Palette was such a huge project for us! Fast forward to 2018 and we wanted to reintroduce our Rose Gold Palette, with completely new and never seen before formulas, listening to everything you guys wanted! From SUPER intense mattes & incredibly creamy pigmented foils, we are sooo excited to reveal to you our Rose Gold ReMastered Palette."
Her original Instagram photo has racked up over 210,000 likes and tons of excited comments (so many heart-eye emojis), and Kattan has continued to build on the fervor with subsequent glam shots and promotional footage.
On the Huda Beauty blog, Kattan explains that the brand took into account a ton of consumer feedback to create the updated rose gold palette, reconstructing the formulas and textures to be creamier and have richer pigments. The palette will also include some new eyeshadows, like the melted metal shades for a "liquid metal finish" and a pressed-pearl shimmery shade.
The Rose Gold Palette ReMastered will be available on May 22 and, judging by the price of the brand's Desert Dusk Eyeshadow Palette, will be $65.
