Reese Witherspoon, Kate Middleton, and Emma Watson are all big fans.
The list of celebrities who have been spotted wearing designs by Erdem Moralioglu—a Canadian and Turkish designer based in London—is long: Reese Witherspoon, Emma Watson, Michelle Obama, Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Anne Hathaway, and Kate Middleton, as Brit & Co reports. Known for pieces that combine classically feminine details, such as lace, tulle, and floral motifs, and give them a rebel edge, Erdem is now set to become H&M’s next designer collaboration. Mark your calendar: The collection is slated to launch in select stores and online on November 2nd.
Not only will the H&M collaboration make the designer’s work more accessible, but the line’s timeless style ensures that these affordable pieces will become wardrobe staples for years to come. “I’m fascinated with things that you can’t tell if they’re 50 years old or 100 years old or completely new,” Erdem told H&M. “It’s so interesting to create pieces that look timeless, even if they’re created digitally and are totally new.” The designer’s inspiration for the upcoming collection came from the English countryside, 90s TV shows, and music videos the designer grew up watching. Based on these sources of inspiration, the collab is bound to have nostalgic appeal.
While we’ll have to wait until the beginning of November for the new collection’s launch, you can catch a sneak peek at some of the pieces by watching H&M’s teaser film, directed by Baz Luhrmann. As the models run through pristine English gardens, we’re spotting moody florals, animal prints, and one jaw-dropping gown.
