There are few pants that we're truly obsessed with, but The Work Pant from Everlane might change all that. By the time the brand released this $50 pant last Thursday, January 25—there was a list of 12,000 people waiting to buy it. And, we get it. A pair of truly comfortable pants is essential to surviving the work day.

The pant, which is still currently in stock despite last Thursday's hype, comes in both regular and ankle length, in a variety of colors, including navy, green, black, and gray. The look is Banana Republic, but the price is way more affordable.

Everlane is all about transparency with their pricing. According to a chart on its website, the pants cost just $21 to make. Despite the markup of $29 (hey, they have to make a profit), the company states that a competitor would sell the same pant for $105.

Whether their calculations are on point or not, we think these pants are a solid bet at $50. The wardrobe staple can go with so many things, from a simple sweater and cute sneaker to a blazer and kitten heels!
