The Under $40 Pants Celebrities Love for Fall
Both Sophia Bush and Jaime King have been spotted rocking this budget find.
This fall is all about retro elegance: think leopard print as a neutral; glam textures, velvet, suede, and shearling; and ruffles, pleats, and embellishments galore. While it sounds expensive, adding luxurious touches to your wardrobe doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Just look to actors Sophia Bush and Jaime King, who have both been spotted wearing a $40 pair of Old Navy sueded ponte pants this fall.
The pants are Old Navy’s new Stevie fit, a versatile style that the brand describes as having “a skinny silhouette in a stretch knit.” Apart from the sueded style (which comes in a navy and black color as well as King’s burgundy and Bush’s copper pair), the pant also comes in a soft ponte knit, available in high-rise, solids, and prints. Regardless of the material, the style gives wearers the structure of pants with the comfort of a legging.
While we love Bush and King’s thrifty find, they aren’t the first celebs we’ve seen sporting the budget brand’s clothing—in August, Blake Lively was seen wearing a pair of their Rockstar 24/7 Jeans (which happen to be $32!).
Not sure how to style these luxe leggings on your own? Here’s how to get King and Bush’s look, for way less:
To steal King’s romantic look, start with a ruffled mock neck blouse ($60; shop.mango.com). Add metallic gold pointed toe pumps ($40; dsw.com), bejeweled chandelier earrings ($13; target.com), and a leather-finished shoulder tote ($29; oldnavy.gap.com).
For Bush’s equestrian style, pair a striped blue button-down ($24; oldnavy.gap.com) with a black long line blazer ($40; oldnavy.gap.com). Add black sock booties ($38; target.com), and a bright red cross body bag ($30; target.com). Top it off with a pair of gold bracelets ($68, bananarepublic.gap.com; and $36, bananarepublic.gap.com) and a dainty, geometric necklace ($34.50; loft.com).
