October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which aims to empower women to take charge of their own health, get the necessary information they need for their personal care and treatment, and spread awareness to those not battling the disease. Given that 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime, according to the American Cancer Society, spreading awareness of the disease is crucial. 

In recent years, more and more brands have gotten involved in the fight against breast cancer, making it easier than ever to give for the cause. The brands featured below have promised to donated proceeds from their collections and limited edition launches to organizations like The Pink Agenda, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

Bobbi Brown Cosmetics is teaming up with The Estée Lauder Companies' Breast Cancer Campaign to support the Breast Cancer Research Fund. Available as a pair of two creamy, full-coverage lip colors, this limited-edition pink set is available for $45.

After listening to many of the struggles breast cancer survivors face, Athleta decided to take action. The result was the Empower bra, a bra specifically designed for women who have undergone mastectomies. During the first two weeks in October, for every bra purchased from Athleta, they will donate an Empower bra (up to 2,500) to post-mastectomy patients at UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The fight against breast cancer has always been a priority of Ralph Lauren. The Pink Pony Campaign originally focused on breast cancer, but over time, has diversified its focus to helping aid a wide range of cancers. Twenty-five percent of the proceeds (as well as 100 percent of the proceeds from the pictured Pink Pony t-shirt) will be donated to the Pink Pony Campaign's fight against cancer.
