According to WWD, the truck will be making its back-to-school tour around the city from August 6-10. If you’re hoping to hop aboard the nostalgia train, you can catch it between noon and 7 p.m. on August 6th at Third Avenue, between 59th Street and 60th Street; on August 7th and 8th at Herald Square; on August 9th at Union Square, and on August 10th in the Flatiron District. While the 2T-16 clothing sizes mean the pop-up hopes to introduce the brand to the next generation rather than target adults looking to relive their preteen days, there will still be plenty of accessories and school supplies for kids of all ages. All of the merchandise is reportedly priced under $100, and if the prices match those on limitedtoo.com, the pop-up truck will be an affordable spot to grab some essentials for the year ahead.
The brand, whose trademarks are owned by Bluestar Alliance LLC, was relaunched in 2015 with an Amazon deal and focused primarily on digital commerce. Bluestar Alliance’s marketing director, Mo Hedaya, told WWD that a successful tour in Manhattan could inspire future tours, listing Los Angeles, Chicago, Texas, and South Florida as potential locations for upcoming mobile pop-ups.
