The Best Strapless Bra Holds Me Up With No Tugging–And I'm a DDD
This strapless bra lets me wear whatever I want and is actually comfortable.
Most women spend their entire lifetime searching for the best strapless bra. Some are too tight and leave you with marks at the end of the night, some are too big and require constant tugging, and some make your boobs look like they're heading in two completely different directions. Well, lucky for all of you, I have found the one strapless bra that will hold up your boobs with no tugging, finagling, or squishing required.
The Wacoal Red Carpet Convertible Strapless Bra ($68; nordstrom.com) is an enigma. The strapless bra somehow works for women with large chests like myself (and comes in the hard to find size of DDD!), as well as for women with smaller breasts. The boning on both the back and sides means it conforms to your body and stays upright, while the grip strips keep the cups suctioned to your body without leaving unwanted marks.
The extra wide band–with either three or four hook and eye clasps depending on the size–creates a seamless line across your back. The lined cups give a smooth look under clothes of all kinds, and the convertible straps make it easy to wear tops with all sorts of necklines.
If it is not already obvious how much I love this bra, consider this: I have had more than five friends and family members see my bra and go buy their own. With a price point on the more expensive side, the undergarment is definitely an investment, but I can attest to the fact that this strapless bra will last for years to come (I have had mine for at least four years!).
So ladies, if you are in the market for a new strapless bra, this is the one. Wave goodbye to your pilling, stretched-out old bra sitting in the back of your underwear drawer, and say hello to strapless dresses, halter neck tops, and off-the-shoulder sweaters.
