“Both my parents were immigrants who held down multiple jobs, and they taught me that you have to work hard for everything.
Because of that, I’m not one to sit still. So even on weekends, it’s easy for me to start worrying about doing this errand
and that chore. But I’ve started saving Sundays for myself. I bead jewelry and shop antique stores. What’s important is that
I don’t view those activities as ‘shoulds.’ I think of them as pure mental relaxation. If I didn’t allow myself to indulge
in them and focused solely on getting things done, the rest of my life would teeter off balance.”
