You might not be able to travel to fictional Stars Hollow, but this is the next best thing. On October 5th, fans will get the chance to start their mornings off like Lorelai and Rory at “Luke’s Diner” locations across the country. In honor of the “Gilmoreversary” (the day the first episode of Gilmore Girls aired 16 years ago), Netflix is transforming over 200 coffee shops into Luke’s Diner for the morning.

While each location won’t be fully transformed into the hardware store-turned-diner, there will be a few noticeable decorations that Gilmore fans will recognize (like the famous “No Cell Phones” sign). Visitors will get a free cup of coffee (unfortunately, not in a Lorelai-approved IV) while supplies last, from 7 a.m. to noon. And if the free coffee won’t get you out of bed, every custom Gilmore Girls cup sleeve will have a “fun surprise” underneath (can we wish for Dean, Jess, or Logan’s phone numbers?).

This news will hopefully tide fans over until November 25th, when Netflix releases four new episodes. Check townofstarshollow.org/lukes to find a participating coffee shop near you. And while you’re rewatching the episodes in anticipation (or maybe catching them for the first time), take a look at a list of gifts any true Gilmore fan needs.
