Whether you’re traveling by plane, train, or automobile this Thanksgiving, you’re going to need something to keep yourself occupied, especially if there’s a delay or traffic while you're en route to your destination. Luckily, Audible.com, has just released a new audiobook recording of the classic Lucy Maud Montgomery novel, Anne of Green Gables. This is just another bonus for fans of the novel, who have a PBS movie to look forward to on Thanksgiving night and a Netflix miniseries in 2017.

Actress Rachel McAdams (The Notebook, Spotlight, Doctor Strange) narrates the beloved children’s book about orphan Anne Shirley, who is sent to live with brother and sister Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert on Canada’s Prince Edward Island. “Performing Anne of Green Gables was incredibly exciting,” McAdams said in a press release. “It’s a transporting book that takes you back to a time where things were simpler—it contains so much emotion and delight that you can’t help but smile, laugh, and cry.”

The audiobook is available for download now, and is free with a 30-day trial membership of Audible, or $25 as a standalone purchase. The recording is 9 hours and 22 minutes long, so it will provide plenty of entertainment for long trips, or long delays. You can purchase it here and watch the behind-the-scenes video with McAdams below.
