From the Crepe fabric family, chiffon is soft with a slightly rough texture. This sheer fabric can be made with either silk or synthetic material and is generally used as an overlay on evening and wedding gowns. Chiffon breathes well so it's suitable for hot temperatures but can also be comfortably worn in cooler weather.
