Home: Redondo Beach, California

Job: U.S. Air Force space-program manager

Family: Married to DeShawn Fogle, 33, an Air Force electronic-warfare instructor, with daughter Nadia, 4.

I would describe myself as…

An extremely compassionate and hard-working woman with tireless dedication and love for my family.

Other people might describe me as…
I have no idea. Frazzled? Out of breath?

My personal style is…

Scary! I have a middle-aged woman’s body, but I think I still look like a little girl. I am confused about how a 30-something mother is supposed to dress. I only shop under duress.

I cook…
Not often enough. My daughter is only 4 and she already knows how to ask, “Mommy, can we take a walk to get some food?”

I struggle with…
Chronic Tardiness Syndrome, and I find myself constantly justifying it to myself and others.

I’m proud of…
My marriage. My husband and I are the best of friends. He is deployed in Iraq right now, and it is just another reminder that we belong together―because we just don’t feel right when we aren’t.

One thing that’s currently on my to-do list―but might not get done―is…
Clean out the garage. It’s overwhelming.

One thing that’s on my to-do-one-day list is…
Lose 30 pounds.
