About the Show

Rob Keefe

Rob Keefe

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Rob's clever wit and warm personality help set the welcoming tone of Real Simple. Inviting viewers to learn alongside him, Rob is always eager to find a new way to tackle a persistent challenge or discover a quick, easy dinner. His goal as a single dad is to clear up his schedule to spend more time with his son. In addition, Rob will hit the road and meet interesting people and explore unique places across the country — a hallmark of the show.

Rob juggles pursuits both intellectual and irreverent. An avid reader and occasional playwright, Rob's sketch comedy has been featured at the Westbank Café and Red Room theaters in New York and at the Improv in Los Angeles, and his film work includes Being Human with Robin Williams.

Before joining Real Simple, Rob worked extensively in theater and on television as both a writer and performer. He was trained at Boston University and the National Theatre of Great Britain and was formerly artist-in-residence at Performance Works in San Francisco. He has performed in regional theaters in Boston, New York, and San Francisco. On television, he has appeared on Guiding Light and Comedy Central's Chappelle's Show.

Though he modestly claims he's not athletic, when pressed Rob will confess to being an accomplished runner, and has completed several marathons and triathlons.

Dena and her husband reside in New Jersey with their three children.

Cydnee Welburn

Cydnee Welburn

As a co-host of Real Simple, Cydnee Welburn brings great enthusiasm to the show. A native of Great Falls, Virginia, she spent more than a decade studying and competing in dance. After being bitten by the acting bug, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the acclaimed Florida State University theater program.

A self-described "rock & roll type of girl," Cydnee is an enthusiastic traveler — always ready to hit the road and enjoy a great concert, or just relax on the beach. This sense of spirit is grounded with her passionate commitment to the community, which has found her utilizing her training in new ways: from teaching dance to working with kids at both Theater Garden, a children's theater company, and the Children's Aid Society in New York City.

Cydnee embraces the philosophy of Real Simple as she puts together a lifestyle that is always on the go, but appreciates coming home to a calm and welcoming environment. Her engaging personality will also encourage viewers to face their own everyday challenges, from cooking to organizing to finding new ways to unwind.

Cydnee may be recognized from her roles in national commercials (Wendy's, Papa John's, Maxwell House), television shows (Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Dawson's Creek), and independent films.
