With lipsticks, as in life, there are always shortcuts you can take. And, in this case, choosing a lipstick that's known as a "true" red offers the quickest route to a fitting shade. Neither warm nor cool, true red doesn't have a distinct undertone, says Jill Morton, head of ColorCom, a worldwide color consultation agency, so it tends to flatter any complexion.
