Winner: De Cecco 12
$2.30 for 1 pound
Comments: Made in Italy, this spaghetti is pricier than the average pasta, which generally costs about a dollar per pound. Our testers believe it’s worth the price, though, for De Cecco’s toothsome texture and slightly nutty flavor. “This is how pasta should taste,” said one. “It has character.” Said another: “It was something to sink your teeth into — it offered a bite back.”
