1. Melting Pot: Peeps Fondue
Original Purpose: Spreading Easter cheer.
Aha! Use: Channeling the 70s with a few of your closest friends.

Recipe:
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 lb. bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
24 Peeps, any shape or color
Bring cream to a simmer in a saucepan. Reduce the heat to low.

Whisk in the chopped chocolate until the mixture is smooth. Remove the fondue from the heat.

Transfer the chocolate mixture to a fondue pot and place over a canned-fuel burner or in a heatproof pot on a trivet over a votive candle, or serve the fondue straight from the saucepan. Arrange the Peeps on a serving plate and offer fondue forks or wooden skewers to use for dipping.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.
