What's your favorite feature?
My red hair. I hated it when I was little. Other kids called me "carrot top." (I pointed out that carrot tops are green.) Now I value being unique.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
During a videotaped survey about computers, I meant to answer, "I've had great success with that in the past," but instead said, "I've had great sex in the past!" Somewhere out there is a tape of me saying that.

What are you most proud of?
What nice adults my children are turning out to be. I wish my husband and I could claim the credit for it. We just got lucky.

What is something that no ones knows about you?
That I know how to give injections and draw blood.

What's the one thing you'll never understand?
Why there are seemingly mundane moments in my life from 40 years ago that I remember with perfect clarity, but I can't recall what I had for breakfast yesterday.

What's the perfect age?
I'm liking my 50s more than I thought I would. Maybe 50.

The big decision I'm currently wrestling with is...
What I want to be when I grow up. I've spent nearly 31 years raising children and the past 14 years involved in politics. I'm trying to decide if I should get a master's degree, pursue politics, or go in an entirely new direction. I'm doing some real soul-searching now. (Go to the next page to read more about Claudia's decision.)

Cats or dogs?
Trees. You can go on vacation and you don't have to find someone to take care of them.
