Removing Salad Dressing Stains

Washables: Shake on talcum powder or cornstarch to soak up as much oil as possible. Pick or scrape off the excess, then rinse. Next, apply a combination solvent, such as Shout, and let sit for 15 minutes. Finish with a regular wash cycle.

Nonwashables: Shake on talcum powder or cornstarch to soak up as much oil as possible. Pick or scrape off the excess, then let dry. Next, apply an oil solvent, such as Carbona Stain Devil #5 (www.carbona.com for store locations). Let dry, then scrape or brush off any remaining stain.
