Kitchen Office
1. Bundle the power strip cord and the fax’s phone line with half-inch spiral wire wrap, and strap them to the inside of a table leg using plastic cable zip ties (available in hardware stores).
2. Run the cords from the bottom of the table leg to the wall outlets. Although it’s usually best to avoid excess cables on the floor, for ease of mobility, leave as much slack here as you’ll need when you move your desk to the farthest point where you might move it. (Note that, for mobile setups, you’ll need the Belkin power strip’s extralong cord,
www.belkin.com for stores.) If you’ll be moving only occasionally, try a neater, safer method: Loop the cords, gather them with Velcro One-Wrap Straps,
www.velcro.com for store locations, and attach the loop to the side of your desk (for easy access) with cable clips.
