Step 2: Drill a Pilot Hole
A pilot hole acts as a guide for
a large screw or one that requires an anchor; it also helps you
drive a screw without splitting
the wood or cracking the wall.
Choose a drill bit a size
smaller than the anchor (a lead
or plastic casing that grips
the wall to secure the screw).
Hold the drill perpendicular
to the wall.
Set the clutch to the drill position.Hold down the trigger until your hand senses the bit poking through the other side of the drywall.
