How It Works: Because the Bosch line is designed for pros, this drill packs more power than the voltage would suggest. And it has a feature the Ryobi lacks: a choice between the regular fast gear and a lower gear that gives more torque (meaning the drill slows down and twists harder to get fatter screws into dense materials, such as oak). The batteries recharged in only an hour, versus three to six hours for most other drills tested. So if you want more versatility but don’t need lots of power, this may be the drill for you.
