Best Chair for Kicking Back
Adirondack Reclining Chair, $179
L.L.Bean's classic lawn chair reclines to three positions to
accommodate progressive states of relaxation. Constructed from
solid maple and finished with weather-resistant paint, this chair
is fittingly designed for the lazy: Even when it's uncovered, it
will withstand the rain (however, it should not be left outdoors
over the winter). Those who can't be bothered to haul patio
furniture into the cellar in October can upgrade to the All-Weather
model (reclining chair, $249), which is made with a chip-proof wood
lookalike formed out of recycled milk jugs. (You have to assemble
both versions of the Adirondack but fortunately only once, since
you need a tool box and a little patience to put it together.) If
you're looking for some cushioning, opt for L.L.Bean's line of
coordinating pillows; standard cushions may not fit.
