These hints will speed your orders across cyberspace and provide them a safe landing.

1. Just so you know: FedEx and UPS don’t deliver on Sunday, so online florists that use them don’t deliver on Sunday or Monday (so the flowers don’t sit an extra day).

2. Even if a plant or a bouquet is pictured on the website in a vase, a basket, or a cachepot, that container may not be in the box that arrives at your loved one’s door. Double-check to make sure it’s included in the price.

3. Don’t click the “place order” button more than once. If in the time it takes for the confirmation screen to load you get antsy and click again, you might end up paying for multiple orders.

4. Print a copy of your order confirmation and file it (or retain it in your saved e-mail) in case you need to track the order or its delivery.

5. If you send flowers often, set up a personal account and address book at your favorite site. This will save you from having to retype all your information on future orders.

6. Most online orders are delivered with care instructions, but if you’d like more information, look for your plants among the hundreds listed in the flower library on Calyx & Corolla’s site (www.calyxandcorolla.com).
