Should you go for the cheapest room in an expensive hotel or the best room in a cheaper property? The experts say go for the good hotel, no matter the size of the room, for two reasons: location and service. You don’t want a nice room in a bad part of town, says Joe McInerney, president and CEO of the American Hotel and Lodging Association. And service is more important than room size, says Orbitz’s Kurt Weinsheimer. “You want the advantages of staying in a world-class hotel.”
