    Cheese
    www.wisconsinmade.com
Cheeseheads unite! From September to May (yes, only three-fourths of the year), receive a monthly one- or two-pound package from a variety of cheese makers in Wisconsin, land of lactose tolerance. Among the offerings you’ll enjoy are Muenster, smoked Gouda, Havarti, and Colby.
RS Received: Three portions of Cheddar, including one shaped like the University of Wisconsin’s badger mascot.
Cost: $265.50 for a nine-month subscription of two-pound packages. Three- and six-month options also available.
Take Note: Monthly deliveries of chocolate, coffee, desserts, flower bulbs, gourmet foods, ice cream, and Danish pastries are also available through the site. And, yes, everything is produced in the state of Wisconsin.

    Cheesecake
    www.sayitwithcheesecake.com
Perfect for anyone who loves fancy desserts with exotic flavors, such as Orange Mango or Blueberry Citrus Cream. Choose either an 8- or 16-slice size.
RS Received: An eight-slice Kahlua-cappuccino cheesecake.
Cost: An annual eight-slice subscription is $463.50 prepaid, or $480.50 if you choose to pay by the month. Three- and six-month subscriptions also available.
Take Note: You’ll receive a different flavor each month, as noted on the site, but you can substitute one flavor for another if you prefer.

    Chocolate-Dipped Pretzels
    www.fretzels.com
The Fretzels by Jill pretzel-of-the-month club — sure to be a hit with office mates prone to 4 p.m. sugar cravings — transforms the lowly pretzel into a gourmet dessert. Delicious flavors may include chocolate cheesecake, Heath Bar, and Butterfinger.
RS Received: One dozen white chocolate–covered Strawberries n’ Creme pretzels, which were consumed within an hour (two to three pretzels equal one serving).
Cost: $204 annually. Six-month subscriptions also available.
Take Note: If you’re allergic to nuts, beware. Some Fretzels are made with peanuts, and since all of the company’s desserts are produced in the same facility, there is a chance that any of them will contain traces of nuts or nut oils.

    Olives
    www.sbolive.com
The Santa Barbara Olive Company has been developing and perfecting new varieties of olives for the past 22 years, and its staff will eagerly help you satisfy the salt-loving portion of your palate. Three jars of olives are delivered monthly, each variety uniquely flavored.
RS Received: One jar each of jalapeño cheese–stuffed olives, garlic-stuffed California black olives, and Country Style olives.
Cost: $179.50 annually. Six-month subscriptions also available.
Take Note: Before shipping, the company will send an e-mail to notify you of the upcoming shipment’s contents. If you wish, you have a week to substitute another type of olive for any or all of the selections.

    Peanut Butter and Jelly
    www.lovepbj.com
Upgrade your run-of-the-mill PB & J’s with the Peanut-Butter-and-Jelly-of-the-Month Club, offering gourmet peanut butters and jellies that have been paired by taste testers and culinary experts. (Tall glass of milk not included.)
RS Received: Sunland Creamy Peanut Butter and Ole Homestead Plum Hot Pepper Jelly.
Cost: $250 annually, plus shipping (12-month subscribers receive an extra month at no charge). Four-month subscriptions also available.
Take Note: Less expensive options let you receive only peanut butters or only jellies. There is also a four-month introductory membership.

    Wine
    www.fruitforward.com
The mile-long shelves at your local wine shop can be intimidating, especially if you’ve invited a connoisseur to your dinner party. Fruit Forward selects two bottles from new wine regions and small wineries and mails them to you each month. Included with the deliveries are suggestions for food-and-wine pairings and useful tasting notes for the wine novice. Though the default shipment is one bottle of red and one of white, you can choose to receive two reds or two whites if you prefer.
RS Received: A 2002 Cheyanna Zinfandel and a 2003 Raywood Vineyards Chardonnay.
    Cost: $20 monthly, plus shipping.
Take Note: A free insulated wine tote is included in the first shipment. Because of individual state liquor laws, Fruit Forward now ships to only 27 states, though it expects to expand the list shortly.
