What do ducks and fashion editors have in common? Both like to fly south during the winter to bask in the warmth of the sun, enjoy the shimmering blue water, and, of course, strike a pose! OK, the last thing might apply only to fashion editors. Since editors typically work about three months ahead of the print schedule, creating a spring fashion story in February in New York City presents some obvious problems, like below-freezing temperatures and snow not jibing well with sundresses.
Real Simple’s fashion crew headed to Sanibel Island, Florida, with trunks carrying all the best spring clothing and accessories for the “Summer Steals” story. Here, some behind-the-scenes shots from the beach.
